Crossfit WOD (06/15/2013)

That was a tough one. We did it in waves, 6 minutes between each. If the partner behind you passes you, then you have to do 25 penalty burpees at the end.

My 2 partners decided I should go last, so I obliged them.

They were a tad surprised when I passed partner 2 halfway through. Someone did some burpees and it wasn’t me. Guess that’s what you get for underestimating me.

Crossfit WOD (6/10/2013)

All I can say is oww.

Today begins “crush week”. This means it is the end of the cycle and their job is to make you hurt.

Since yesterday was a test day, there was no lift, instead there was more muscle crushing active recovery work in the middle.

Warmup

  • 20 kettle bell swings (16kg)
  • 20 hollow rocks 
  • 0:20 reverse plank

Active Recovery

WOD

  • 800m run
  • 30 burpees
  • 550m run
  • 20 burpees
  • 400m run
  • 10 burpees

Took me close to 18 minutes to complete. Several minutes longer than most of the other people. It was tough, rainy and I was wearing the wrong shoes. Regardless, I got it done.

I bought a couple of these last night, because they were on sale and with the seltzer. Of course I made the assumption this was just flavored seltzer water too. Of course I was wrong  

It has been close to 2 1/2 months since I’ve had artificial sweetners. Man do they taste vile. How did I never notice before?

Just goes to show you, don’t trust shelf placement. Always read the label.
